[Bermudan Chest-on-Frame] by Austin Kane Matheson

Bermudan Chest-on-Frame
Mahogany, Spanish Cedar, Maple veneer
50"L X 30"H X 22"W

This is a reproduction of a chest built in the early part of the 18th Century. This style of Chest-on-Frame is unique to Bermuda and was built and used on the island during the 18th and 19th centuries. Long after the Chest of drawers became popular in Europe and America Bermudans continued to use the this style of chest-on-frame because it was easily transported onboard ships.
